Brett Johnson

INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE chairman 

Brett has more than 10 years experience as a director of listed companies, including Scott Corporation Limited and Helloworld Limited.  At Scott, Brett was the only independent non-executive director representing minority shareholders and chaired the Audit Committee.  At Helloworld, he was a member of the Audit Committee and Remuneration & Nominations Committee.  He was also Chairman from August 2014 to December 2015, during which Helloworld was subject to a successful takeover offer.  Brett also has more than 25 years experience as General Counsel of listed Australian companies, including Qantas Airways Limited (1995-2012).  In those roles, he was a member of the company’s’ executive committee and attended most board meetings.  

 


Richard Aird

Richard is a professional operations manager with more than 20 years of experience in commercial development and operations in construction and rural industries. His success in large-scale rural development enriches Redflow with a wealth of business experience. Richard, who has worked in a range of roles at Redflow since 2009, has first-hand knowledge of customer requirements for grid-connected and off-grid electricity generating and storage systems in both regional and remote areas.

 


Simon Hackett

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORSimon-Hackett

Simon is the founder of Internode and past co-director of NBN Co Limited, Simon joined the Redflow Board in November 2014 and relinquished his role at the NBN Co Limited in April of 2016 to focus on Redflow. Simon added Redflow to his investment portfolio of innovative Australian technology businesses, which includes AvSoft and UltraServe. He founded Internode in 1991, growing it to become Australia’s largest privately owned broadband company by 2011, when he sold it to ASX-listed iiNet. He acted as a Non-Executive Director of iiNet from August 2012 until November 2013, when he stepped down to become a Non-Executive Director on the board of NBN Co Limited.


Howard Stack

Non-Executive DirectorHowar-Stack

Howard is an experienced company director with both listed and unlisted companies, including several as Chairman. These directorships included companies with substantial international operations and those whose strategies included penetration of world markets, including Bow Energy, Flight Centre and Australian National Industries, amongst others. He was a partner of the leading national law firm Allen Allen & Hemsley until 2001, and continued to act as a corporate advisor to one of Australia’s largest electricity generators until 2011. In the community, he has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Brisbane Grammar School since 1991.


David Knox

Non-Executive Director

David Knox served as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Santos Limited from 2008-2015. David was previously Managing Director for BP Developments in Australasia from 2003 to 2007. He has worked for BP in the United Kingdom and Pakistan, and has held management and engineering positions at ARCO and Shell in the USA, Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Norway.  David is originally from Edinburgh, Scotland and has a BSc Hons in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA. He is a fellow of ATSE, and FIE Aust and a graduate of the AICD community. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Brisbane Grammar School since 1991.


Bruce Brown

Independent Non-Executive DirectorBruce-Brown

Bruce joined the Redflow Board in February 2012. Bruce has significant financial expertise and experience with global business operations. Bruce was CEO of Campbell Brothers Limited until his retirement in 2005, having held finance and senior management positions with that company since 1976. Bruce is currently a Non-Executive Director of Campbell Brothers Limited (appointed October 2005). He also joined the Transpacific Board in 2005 and is still an active member. Bruce holds a tertiary qualification in commerce and is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.


Patrick Tapper

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

With more than 25 years experience in the telecommunications, technology, media, and entertainment industries, Pat holds a non-executive role at Redflow starts its next phase of growth.  Pat, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, already holds non-executive director roles with Silver Chef Ltd  (ASX: SIV), Acurus Pty Ltd, and SYC Ltd. He previously worked with Simon Hackett from 1998 to 2013 at Internode, where he was CEO and Executive Director.

Richard Aird

Dr. Alex Winter

Chief EngineerAlex-Winter

In the lead-up to the foundation of Redflow, Alex spent six years working on the research and development of flowing electrolyte batteries, using his expertise in fluid dynamics and mechanical design. Alex has significant international experience, having lived and worked in Austria and Argentina in various consulting, managerial and engineering roles. He is responsible for product development and design for manufacturing within Redflow and manages a team of nine engineers and technicians. Alex holds a Bachelor of Engineering with first-class honours and a PhD in the field of mechanical engineering, both from The University of Queensland.


Dr. Mike Giulianini

Chief Technology OfficerMike-Giulianini

Mike heads Redflow’s systems engineering department, assisting system integrators with using Redflow’s ZBM in energy storage systems. He has more than 13 years of experience as a systems engineer, having held management and executive positions. He has supervised and managed a multitude of projects in energy storage, renewables integration and defence telecommunications. Mike has attained his Laurea Magistrale in electronic engineering, a PhD related to organic photovoltaics from the Queensland University of Technology and a graduate certificate in research commercialisation.


Andrew Kempster

Andrew is a senior sales executive with extensive experience dealing with diverse market segments, winning business from all levels of corporate and government sectors. Andrew has a strong background in the telecommunications industry, where he was able to initiate, develop, maintain and expand relationships with both customers and business partners while building high-achieving sales teams. Andrews previous roles include Sales Manager and Business Development Manager for iiNet Limited and Corporate Account Manager for Internode.
