A highly experienced business leader with extensive international experience, Tim joined the Redflow team as CEO in March 2018. His proven track record comes from more than 20 years’ experience working for large international corporations.
Tim began his career advising global companies on their growth strategies in emerging markets before moving to BT, where he held a number of senior executive roles based in the UK and Singapore during his 10 years. Prior to joining Redflow, he spent three years as Chief Commercial Officer for Chorus, New Zealand’s largest telecommunications infrastructure company.
Tim holds Bachelor’s degrees in Laws and Arts (majoring in law and politics) from the University of Otago and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor by the New Zealand Law Society. He also has an MBA focusing on strategy and business management from Cranfield University.
Tim is passionate about enabling a renewable future and positioning Redflow as the leader in providing cost-effective and sustainable energy storage solutions to the world.
Tim is responsible for managing the global day-to-day operations of Redflow.
A cleantech expert and technology commercialisation specialist, Tim joined Redflow from the Queensland University of Technology, where he was the Chief Entrepreneur in Residence at QUT bluebox, working with start-ups, entrepreneurs and investors to bring innovative research and technologies to market successfully.
Tim re-joined Redflow in 2019 as the Chief Deployment Officer, before taking on the role of Chief Operating Officer.
Steve is an experienced electrical engineer, with extensive knowledge of the Redflow battery and skills in product development, test and measurement, and modelling.
After cofounding Blastronics (now Texcel) in 1988, Steve joined Redflow as Test Engineer in 2008 working with the first zinc-bromine flow batteries. In that role, he was seconded to Ktech-Raytheon from 2012 to 2014 developing systems in the United States.
He subsequently worked as an MRI engineer with Magnetica, before re-joining Redflow as Chief Technology Officer in 2020.
Trudy is a qualified CPA and holds an MBA in Accounting and Business Management from University of Southern Queensland. She has strong financial experience across a number of industries, including both national and international exposure and has a real passion for the business and not just the numbers.
Previous roles include serving as CFO for Tritium and more than 20 years’ experience in CFO and senior finance executive roles for global companies including Bucyrus, Caterpillar Global Mining, Ansaldo, ABB and privately held companies.
Trudy joined Redflow as CFO and Company Secretary in 2018 and is an integral part of Redflow’s senior executive team, working closely with senior managers on the company’s growth and commercialisation strategy.
Mark is a globally-recognised leader in energy storage strategy and an experienced executive with deep connections throughout North America's energy ecosystem.
Mark served as chair of the US Department of Commerce's Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee, co-founded and serves as a venture partner at Resilient Earth Ventures, and is the former COO and board member of Strategen where he ran the company's global consulting business and managed the company operations.
He has also held past leadership roles at PG&E, SunEdison, Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), MMA Renewable Ventures, the California Energy Storage Alliance, and the Vehicle-Grid Integration Council.
